We were loaded with apples last year...this year will be down a lot....the acorns look like they might do well....if we get rain....
A lot of greenery for the deer....some may have to move a little to find water though....

My nephew has about 100 apple trees. I think he might have 100 apples. Had frost just before blossoms opened. Wish all 100 were on the same tree. Be a good one to sit under. Acorns on the oak in my yard have some nuts, but the lack of rain is not helping.....sure the ones in the woods are doing no better up on the ridge....hunts2long

Hope the acorns are good this year. Have a stand right in a clump of oaks and 2 seasons ago I practically had to cover my head on stand as to not get hit with falling ones, needless to say never hunted that stand without seeing deer. Last yr there was hardly no acorns and no deer

In Schoharie Co. the drought is taking a toll. Not sure about the acorns but the corn is short and having trouble making ears. The apple crop isn't any better, w/ many drops.

I bet none of the rain ran off last Sunday down there. It poured off and on from Guilderland to Sangerfield on our way home.

Still a lot of small acorns around me. Apples seem very scarce, but the crab apples are loaded and I know the deer like them quite a bit.
