Arrow Rests
« on: Aug 11, 2005, 07:55:20 AM »
My rest finally dies after many years of service.  I had an overdraw with a two prong rest.  I'm shooting a High Country Royal Hunter, 65#, 31 inch draw.  I've been looking but I'm not sure what rest to buy, any help would be appreciated.

I personaly am in love with the biscuit too. Heard some arguments against it but have not heard any real valid ones. The only thing I would say is the way I am set up I need to refletch more often. I have no trouble with doing that though compared to the how well it works.

I tried the biskit before and with my bow it didn't seem to work...I am shooting a Martin Cooger. I couldn't get any groups...and the fletching was all rippled..so I went back to a drop away arrow rest..its a NAP quick tune...

your biscuit was probably twisted or not level i have seen others who had the same problem. they took them to a pro shop that had experiance with them and they fixed it in about 2 minutes. another one of my buddys had the same problem but he needed a new biscuit because whoever installed it for him bent the spot where the biscuit rests. just me .02 whisker biscuits for me your arrow doesnt fall out with the weird angles you shoot out of a stand or the funny predicaments you get yourself into on the ground

Any drop away will do.

I use to use a drop but switched to a biscuit.  The drop away worked fine but with the biscuit you do not have to worry about the arrow falling off of the rest.  You never have the unwanted noise of it bouncing on the bow after it falls off and when you draw, no matter what angel, you dont to worry about it falling off.  I would definitely recommend the biscuit to anyone.
