early moose

Anybody doing the early moose this year.
I'm heading up the east side of lake wpg next week for 3 day for a shot at it

Yep, I don't know when yet, but the plan is to spend some time up at the cabin, hopefully this year there will be moose.

What is early moose? To me that is over but we can hunt in certain areas Aug 15th. Ooops I see your from Manitoba. I'm heading out next week for some monstas ;) Look forward to every ones pics ;D
Good luck fly-in and take some of that special juice to get the big ones coming in ;) ;) ;)

We didn't get drawn in Alberta this year so we are doing some moose in our province. The early season here is Sept 17

what special juice? Nothing at my work is applicable to moose hunting, except maybe some grunts.

My moose trip is over before it started.
Hwy 304 has been b;locked by the locals so no access to the hunting grounds

Oh, oh, which is Hwy 304? is that the road up to Bisset? we fly in from pinefalls, but if we are more then two people one person has to drive up to Bisset or if we shoot a moose.

We just got back from hollow water and hwy 304 was open, but the winter road to island was blocked off. They do have logs in place to close 304 but the word in the area that they will likely not close 304 to bisset

I got skunked on my BC moose hunt.....didn't even see one.....just tracks of the one that would visit our calling site during the night and leave fresh tracks right up to my stand site.  :'(
Next year, I'm hoping to get back into the early season moose draw right here in Manitoba.  8)
