My gun likes #5s and the 3 1/2" patterned much better than the 3", it is a good idea to experiment with different loads.

My Benelli w/Primos Jelly Head Choke likes 3 1/2", #6, 2 1/4 oz. Winchester Supreme Doulbe X copper plated turkey loads. Turkeys seem to repsond well to them out to about 45 yds. ;D

it all depends on your gun and choke. i shoot a benelli nova w/ an undertaker. i have found hevi-shot 3 1/2 inch 5's to be my load. that gives me a good pattern out to 50 yards. the runner up is 3 inch # 6 winchester supremes.

winchester double x magnum loads in #4 shot 3 1/2 inch really puts the hurt on them and my shoulder lol ;)
