This is my 15th elk with a bow. Called him into 15 yards and shot him quartering to me through the chest and almost passed through the right front shoulder. Got him tuesday morning at 9:30 am 2.2 miles into the cloudpeak primative area. he was a small 5x4. The first 2 vidio's are of him bleeding out their not to good but the 3rd one will show how well this shot works so good,but I only recomend this type of shot at 20 yards or less. This is my second elk using this shot and I like it better than a double lung shot they don't go very far and are really easy to track. For got to mention it took us till 7:00 pm to pack him out with a total of about 15 miles of walking. Told the wife we are getting way to old for this stuff but we will be back again Friday to try and get her's. We were both drawn back on this bull but I had the better shot.

That's great, congrats! A do-it myself elk hunt is on my list of future hunts, hopefully in the next couple years.
