Mtlion and I went out hunting this saturday and I got this beautiful buck. I took one shot with the .270 at 65 yards. We were pretty far back in so we had to butcher him and pack him out. It's my biggest mule deer and the first one I have shot in 6 years.





This picture shows how tall he is!

Our taxidermist does a nice job but takes a loooooonnnnnngggg time to get the mounts back to us. Ususally by the time he gets it back to us he charges less than the already cheap price, so I guess it works out o.k. If we bring him a cape, he gives us the euro mount on a plaque pretty much for free  :). I can't wait to get it back...
