First meat in the freezer
« on: Sep 18, 2020, 09:15:11 PM »
Broke the ice with a doe tonight. Nice tender meat headed for the freezer.
Back was feeling good enough to get out for a nice sit. Had 3 come through off to my left then mosied under my stand and off behind me.
10 minutes later 3 more come right toward me, the biggest one turned at 20 yds. Mechanicals at 390 FPS just tear holes. She dropped 15 yds away.
Had to get the meat doe out of the way, Now to get on the bucks.

Thanks guys. Yup, I only had 2 packages left in the freezer from last year's 3 deer. So it had to be done...lol

Thanks Z. Unfortunately,  I'm not out of the woods yet . Been an up and down battle. A week and a half ago I was back to hobbling around not being able to barely walk. Made some progress again end of last week so I'm mobile enough to hunt. In pain all the time, I just said F it, this ain't stopping me from living and hunting. I just push through the pain. Still limited to what I can do but I'm making the best of it. Go back in for a scan this week.
It's nice to have friends to drag your deer out for you as well ;D
Like many other stories from you guys on here, we as avid outdoorsman/women all face difficulties at one point or another and we push on no matter what, because this isn't just something we do....it's who we are.
