WOW. what a day. A good friend of the wife and I had invited us out on his boat for some walleye fishing today. It sounded like it would be fun but the weather didn't look like would cooperate. High winds brought the water level's up quite a bit on the St.Lawrence river but it turned out to be a GREAT day on the river.  :thumb:  :thumb:  The day started out with some trolling and since we ( the wife and I ) had never targeted walleye our Capitan for the day Dale was explaining what a hit should feel like and BAM!!! I had one on. 22-1/2" walleye.

That one walleye proved to be a teaser since we trolled around in some rather rough water every now and then when we weren't secluded from the shoreline's windbreak. after a about an hour the wife hooked into her first walleye also. a 19-3/4inch beauty.

our Capitan for the day with the wife's first.

Soon after I picked up my second walleye

a few others from today.

Thanks again Dale for a Great day on the water :thumb:  :thumb:

Well ms.Hick and I took out Dale for his first goose hunt. Was a nice day out but the birds just didn't cooperate. Yesterday's scouting trip told us there was about 50 birds using our field and they left for water around 10am. they all left the field together and was hoping that they would not all show up at the same time. as luck had it we had three small flocks come in and Dale picked two off and i picked one off myself. we ended the day with just the three birds and had a great morning hunt. Ethel did well retrieving the birds but today was more of a refresher for her. she hadn't been worked since last duck season. a few picks from today.
