Yes, a girl shot this one . .

This is my second buck . . 9 point non typical from 2001.  And yes, I shot this buck (using a .243)

I hunt with my mom . . and the "men" hunt a couple miles away.  Opening weekend 2001 I got to make the first call to my brother and dad to tell them "Girls 1, Boys 0" at 7:00 a.m. opening day.  And yes, my mom and I gut the deer we shoot . .

It just so happened that my mom shot at this buck the year prior, and took his ankle off as he was chasing a doe.  He toughed it out by walking on what was left of his hoof\ankle.  Thus, the opposite side rack grew a tad webbed, but turned out to be a neat rack.  My only regret, not getting a full head mount.  Oh well . . I hope to bag a bigger one to hang on the wall someday.   :)

Finally . . . got the pic up on webshots.  Plus, in my Hunting slideshow there is a pic from the bear hunt I was a part of this October.  No . . I didn't shoot that one . . but it was my first bear hunt\baiting experience!

Bambi, sounds like you are quite a hunter!  Well done, both you and your Mom.

About your deer pic, I tried to see it and it says that I can't because I'm not the owner.  Perhaps you need to go into your photo storage site, check the settings, and then grant permissions so that people can view it?

Congrats on the nice buck Bambi.I teach hunter safety courses and the last couple years ive had more women and girls taking my course than boys..Not just for tags either as well as i can tell.Even have about a 50/50 split at our annual pheasant hunt every year.
