I know it is not one of the choices but I have NEVER owned a rifle that didn't LOVE Winchester Ballistic Silvertips. I shoot 140 gr. out of my .280,( also a Browning but X-bolt ) 150 gr. out of my .308 and 150 gr. out of my .30/06.

If you want to stick with Federal I had no complaints with the nosler Partitions. With those and the Win. BST'S you are looking at almost 50 bucks a box though............

Yea the money is big the fusiobd are half the price and still have good reviews but I also want the confidence of the better bullet

I have 8 left over 180gr Winchester Supreme Elites XP3's. If your ever in the area you can have them to test with.

For deer I use 165gr SPBT's hand loaded and very hot, that's what my gun wanted. I may go down to 150gr when I run out of the 165's. It doesn't take much to drop a deer. I don't gun hunt much though.

Hornady Superformance either 150 or 165 you don't need 180 for deer.I shoot Hornady Superformance  150 gr. in my 06, 117 gr. in my .257 Roberts and 130 gr. in my .270. My wife shoots 129 gr. in her 6.5 Creedmoor. Hornady Superformance ammo is the " Bomb ".
