wife's new rifle
« on: Apr 12, 2012, 04:45:42 AM »
I'm going to pick up my wife's new rifle today, it's the new Savage Lady Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor. I ordered a new scope yesterday and it's a Nikon Monarch 2 1/2 - 10 X 42 with the BDC reticle.

Sorry CHUCKER i have absolutely no idea of how to do that. You could google Savage Arms and see the picture there. Besides I don't have the scope yet either.

Yesterday I worked an instore promo at Herb Philipsons store in New Hartford, NY and I met the rep for Savage Arms. Your gonna love this she is a 25 year old brunette who is simply gorgeous.I introduced myself and told her that I had just picked up the new Lady Hunter for my wife. She asked what caliber and I said 6.5 Creedmoor, she then proceeded to pull another gun out to put on her display. It was her personal rifle which was exactly what i purchased for my wife. The only difference was the bolt in her gun was spiral fluted. She said I could send my wifes gun back and have that done also.My display was not far from hers so I spent the day looking at her ' GUNS "

Received the scope yesterday so it's off to the gunsmith to get mounted. The old girl is very happy.

Got the ammo yesterday, going to meet one of my hunting partners in Pulaski today for lunch. He just retired from the NYSP and he was on their SWAT Team for a number of years. He's really anal about the proper manner of breaking in a new rifle barrel so I'm giving him the honor of breaking in the rifle for the old girl. I'm sure it will be done properly which is something I've never done.
