Too early?

I was thinking about putting out a dripper bottle over a mock scrape with a trail camera coming up. What's everyone's input? Is it too early to put one out?

I personally dont use scents until about the third week of OCT. I feel like this is when they start to really be effective and not put the does on alarm.
