What do those go for a box of 5? thats the same bullet they make for muzzleloaders. i bet they shoot prety good though.

I just saw a shoot out in the NRA mag on slugs, the last issue. They didn't seem too impressive from their info. Hastings had a nice slug. I have shot Lightfield for the last 5 years without any problems. I am very comfortable out to 130 yrds. I shot 2 deer in the neck with them at just over 125 yrds last season. Your gun will tell you the slug it wants to shoot, it may take a bit of time at the range but it is worth it when you know you can make the shot. My gun will hold a 1.25" 3 shot group at 75yrds, it took me 3 brands before I found the Lightfields I love these slugs heavy hitters that don't come apart. My 2 cents. Good luck all

They are between 13 and 14 dollars a box.

Hello gents,   
                  My brother found the SSTs for 9.95$ in Roch.n.y. he gave me a box to test,  I'll try them and give you a report.
   I shoot a Ithica deer slayer II[ fully rifled, fixed barrel] and over the years , I've practiced durring the off season by shooting woodchucks.    I know my gun well and know it shoots lightfeilds , brenneke and federal premium[barns expanders]all good, w/ the fed. being the tightest group , So I'm eager to see how they shoot...

I  have been using the Hotnady H2K 300 grain 2.75" 1900fps, I have a deer slayer rifled barrel.they shoot off the bench about a 2" group 1"high  at 100 yds.shot 3 deer in Ohio last year and they just went straight down.No long shots maybe 80 yards was the long one.BB
