My First Whitetail Buck

Here is a picture of my first Whitetail buck, a 10 pointer!!!!!!!!!!!
I just started hunting 4 years ago and only have 1 doe until this buck. I shot the buck near the Duck Mountain forest border near Arran Saskatchewan on Nov 21 at 4:30 pm from my blind near an alfalfa field and the provincial forest. I was only 3 miles from the Manitoba border.
Took the 100 yard shot with my old 300 Savage with no scope and hit the old boy in the lungs. He ran for 200 yards but a good trail in the snow helped me find him fast. My new gun with a scope was shooting to the right and it was to cold to fix. I had to 1/4 him to get him out, I never realized how big bucks can be. I will definately get lots of meat and I am currently getting the head mounted for some good memories!

Looks like a good buck especially for your first one. Can you put a bigger picture up? I would like to get a better look at it. Congrats.

Never mind, I went and checked it out at photobucket. Wow, what a buck. Congrats again. You've set the bar high for your first one. Those are some crazy brow tines too. Good job man.

Awesome buck!! I love those dagger like brow tines. Judging by his short snout he looked like an old heavy deer.

its pretty quiet on the west side of the ducks, so many older hunters have hung up their guns and don't get out anymore. Did see the conservation officers out which is good! Heard a few shots over the days (some from Man side) but overall pretty quiet!
