Was hunting elk with my cross bow starting Sept 3. Went to check my trail cam that tells me of animal activity coming thru my tree stand area. Many elk thru area from Aug 23 till Sept 2 when they left the area. On closer inspection the last elk thru was a cow at 0807

Then at 0912 Mr Grizz comes strolling thru

Ruins 3 days of hunting with no elk coming around. Then they return with some noses up in the air

Didn't get to arrow any elk but sure is fun being that close to them and watching their antics. Nothing like some live decoys

A 5 point bull walked right under my stand. I could have touched him with my outstretched hand if I bent over the bottom of my stand.
Way more fun to hunt than moose.....except when Mr Grizz spoils the fun. :-\

Treebark camera made in Edmonton. Like that they can keep on working at -30 and still have alot of battery reserve.
However the infra red model gives the pics an off color so getting another model that has better quality pics. At the time I just wanted to track animal movement in my hunting area so went infra red.
