Only been out a couple of times recently.  No action.  Checked my trail cameras and got a picture of a huge coyote.  Had been getting quite a few pictures of fox.  Two were carrying rabbits.  No wonder the toms are so quite this year.  Anyone out there getting any action?

No action here. I've only been out twice since last weekend. Farking work!!!
I was down at Spiker's yesterday in my GF's gay pink car. My truck blew a hose.
I plan on heading down there for my last outing next Sunday. Hope to get to Letchworth once or twice before then...

Good luck everyone!

Well, tomorrow (Friday) is my last chance at a bird.
I realize that if I don't see another turkey all year it's my own fault for screwing up the chance I had...

d man, had a golden opportunity at a nice bird yesterday and blew it.  had two adults and a jake going for 45 minutes and finally a nice tom came in about 30 yards in some brush.  thought i could squeeze a shot in, what a idiot.  didn't even knock a feather off.  well at least the bird survived, better than a wound.  sure makes you want to rewind the tape about 5 seconds and redo  doesn't it?  Been on a pretty good roll until then.  Everyone needs a wake up call sooner or later.  It still was a very good hunt , just forgot the bird .   Good luck all.

Yes- It sure does!
That's why it's such a challenge, and so much fun.
The humiliation is part of the learning curve.
I know guys that have been chasing these birds for 15, 20, 25 years.
They all have stories that they don't tell in front of strangers...  ;)

yes it is all over. but what a good season it was. i cannot speak for everyone but my
season was one of the best i have had in yrs. not only did i get both birds but i also had a good time hunting with other people and having the oppertunity to let them get there chances as well. all the times i went out with different freinds they all had chances but for some reason or another things just did not work out right. the experence and the thrill of the hunt is payment alone when you go hunting and it makes memories that last a life time. ;D
