Hit me with them, but I am going to bed early tonight.
I'm going to pull one of your paratrooper moves tomorrow morning in the dark.
I will try to remember to leave a rope tied to a stout tree behind me.

devilman and i are going sunday. hopefully i can call 1 in for him.  :)

Not only did Spiker2 call in a bird, he called in seven toms! The first two just kind of looked as they were walking by. Then we moved and got on five more birds, two gobblers and three jakes. They were on fire!
As they were slowly moving up the hill away from us I got the one shot of the day.
I biffed it from fifteen yds...
Thanks, Spiker. I had a great time! Your calling skills are truly impressive.

All right- lay it on me now. I deserve it.  ;D

I forgot to mention that Spiker had the whole valley gobbling.
We saw seven, but there are a lot more there.
It was one of the coolest things I have ever heard.
I didn't call once all morning, and he used only his mouth calls.

I'm planning on another trip down there later this month.
It's only an hour drive.
 ;D

welcome to our world all our hills and valleys are like that most hunters limit out in 2-5 days down here i know others who find spring turkey to be boring and gave it up for fall or only hunt with a bow i went out the other morning to get away and nailed a bird had to hit him twice i took half his wing off with the first shot then put him down with the second and was home before 7 my wife woke and said i thought you were going hunting i love mornings like that

ps seen a crap load of deer on my way home hopefully still around in the fall

It is definitely turkey heaven! If you're willing to hike a few miles the birds are there.
