Had a great opening morning. I shot the doe at 7:30 and then shot the spike horn 5 minutes later on the same trail from the same stand. They died 20 yards from each other.

Congrats !!!  That doe looks pretty big. Sat. is opening of archery down here in the southern tier. Hopefully my son or I will have at least 1/2 your luck  :D

No, it's muzzleloader week in NY norther zone. But, what kind of smoke pole did you use? Nice of the spike to give you a few minutes to reload.;D

I used a .50 CVA. 100 grains of powder, .245 grain powerbelt bullet.

I have a CVA also, haven't shot a deer with it yet. I was going to buy a cart this week, was it worth the money? Congratulation on the double!

It is a collapsable cart and sooooo worth the money.  I shot the deer 2 miles back from the road .

I think I'll pick up one of those carts, sounds like it's worth the extra trip out to bring it in. I want to have a few more hides tanned, so it'll be worth it just for not recking them dragging.

Get the collapsable cart with the metal spoke wheels not the plastic. also get one with the biggest clearance, helps going over logs.
