Here's the weird 8-pt I shot. He had an extra brow tine and an eye guard growing out from the bottom of the right antler. I shot him yesterday at 40 yards with a .270. He still ran 50 yards with his heart and lungs blown out.   I am having him taxidermied!

Deer are the main crop on our farm, followed by maple syrup, pumpkins, vegetables, and wild turkeys.  We credit our deer management program (ie. don't shoot button bucks,  food plots, habitat improvement) we have been implementing for the last 7 years.

I already shot a doe that field dressed at 160 lbs.  Our regular season runs till december 9 then we have a week of muzzle loader where I can get a buck and a doe.

Way to go Roy!!!  He is definetly one of a kind.  Did you know that buck was on the farm? (trail cam pics or sightings)  Either way he's a nice surprise!

Yea I wish we could hunt elk, moose, mountain lions, and pronghorns here but we can't.

No sightings before and no trail camera pics but we knew there had to be an unusual buck on the farm. The past few days  we have been finding new rubs where we were seeing deep scratches. Now we know why.  ;)

When I retire from teaching, I have a list of species I want to hunt: caribou, elk, mule deer, moose, prong horn. Unfortunately I cannot hunt any of these now because I cannnot take the time off from teaching. Oh well.  ;D
