Title: Personal Pictures in Profile

I tried adding a personal picture to my profile on this forum, MFF and IS.   It seemed to work OK on MFF but on this forum and IS the picture comes in HUGE and pushes the text off to the right.  Did I do something wrong?  How can I fix it?

I've used, shirkpictures.com, works great at first then my avatar reverts to a box with red "x"??? Any tips?
