finding moose in zone 3 in sept

its gotta be the heat. my father had a cow permit last year. day before the hunt we counted 16 moose in one cut!  saw 22 total moose by 11am all in about 3mile radius! one of the same places i sent you. dad and my bro. shot a 625lb. cow which was with another cow  and a bull. all though ive heard the cows arent as numerous as the bulls have been this year. if you had a bull permit you prob. would have seen only cows.

Most everyone with cow permits had the same problem,especially in zone 3.Heat was a major factor.Temps sat.were in the 45-50 range.Alot more moose up moving around since then.We saw 3 cows and two bulls bird hunting sat.Was a tough week for anyone with a cow permit.
