Twin calves.

Was at my cabin a few days ago a caught this cow with twin calves on the shore.

Nice!! good to see the moose are doing well.

I'm surprised that they are doing well as I had a bull draw there last year and couldn't fill the tag. Saw on average 6-7 cows a day. One morning we counted 18 (cow/calves) but none with even a nubbin. So I was a little worried about the cow/bull ratio last year.
Also this lake has 2 big native reserves on so when we were there in July and August, the natives were hunting and they did get alot of the bulls and calves (according to local native friend). Wish I had my status card but I'm only 12% native.

saw a cow in maine while brook fishing awile back that had 3 calves about the same size as those. of course i had no camera.
