Oldest Daugther's Nice Mule Deer
« on: Nov 10, 2010, 05:37:06 PM »

My fifteen year old daughter, soon to be 16 tomorrow, wanted to skip school for a day and do a one day deer hunt for her birthday present from me.   Who am I to argue about that?

Turned out pretty OK, Happy Birthday a day early to Rylie!

Dad!  Haven't seen you in forever, and my birthday is coming up.....    ;D

You're bringing her up just perfect.  One day a year like that beats months of xbox or playstation.
I'm bound to stay where you sleep all day, Where they hung the jerk that invented work, in the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

Now that's a present!! The buck ain't bad either..... ;)
Happy birthday Rylie!! You have a pretty good Dad, one that I'm sure is but should be real proud of you. But more importantly himself, for giving you his time and teachings.
Super job!!!

That is awesome! She's rackin' 'em up!  8) Congrats all around!! Is she doing a euro mount?

Yep.   I would have thought about a shoulder mount if it had better forks but they were pretty short.

The outside spread was 27 inches so a pretty decent deer.

We actually saw two real pigs in the area we were hunting a couple weeks ago but it was too late in the season to pass this guy up and I'm hunting with a buddy for deer all weekend this weekend and going to Cat/Griz next weekend so we might not get out much more.

Don't ask about the Cat/Griz weekend, just something I have to do to keep the wifey happy but it's friggin killing me to NOT be hunting that weekend.

CAn't complain I guess, I've been hunting every weekend since Labor Day.
