Post by: chez on Apr 19, 2012, 07:40:44 PM: ANYONE HUNT FROGS.GREAT TO EAT .DEEP FRIED. PAN FRIED IN BUTTER.IN CROCKPOT WITH TOMATOE AND PEPPERS.ON THE GRILL. HARD TO FIND GOOD SPOT TO GET BIG ONES. LOTTS OF SMALL ONES.THEY ARE GREAT TO SKIN. NOTHING LIKE A TREE RAT. GIVE THEM A TRY.

I miss from hunting, I use to let the water get high and catch them with my hand on a flooded lawn, smack them on a rock into the bucket, into the pan

When I was a kid in boy scouts we were on a 4 day hike down in the Catskill's of N.Y.. well any way on our 3rd day we were supposed to get some supplies dropped off to us when we got to our destination but were not there. Where we were was @ a flooded ore pit, everyone was griping about the lack of food. 1 of the counselors went to a farm near by & got some field corn & I went around the waters edge & started catching frogs, I caught by hand over 50 of those tasty creatures. Most of the kids were from the city & never had frogs legs before & said they thought I was sick for eating them. Well I ate good that night, field corn just doesn't get it for me.

Post by: ramrod on Jun 18, 2012, 09:58:33 AM: myself and 3 buddies went out on saturday night w gigs and lights. some of them seem to go paralyzed when you hit them w the light. you can walk right up to them and grab em. we had a great time, snappers, snakes, unintentional swamp swimming..... lots of laughs.. and we ended up w 23. cant wait to go again.

Yup Zatarans Louisiana fish fry, in the blue bag at wallyworld. dry them off dip in egg and toss in a gallon zip of zat.. and shake them up!!!! deep fry and enjoy. ;D ;D

We take the tandem kayak out and pop them with the .22's

I collect them and give them to the spouse and he skins and cleans em up.....I aint no fool
