I took a walk this past Friday to take a look for sheds and do a bit of off season scouting. I didn’t end up finding any sheds but I did get pictures of 7 bucks on trail camera. They all had antlers still except one had dropped both and another had dropped one side. This was in late February. I also picked up a tick 😡 I woke up Saturday morning and noticed it on my lower back around my waistband area.

I just started doing it this year, and have more so just been going for a walk in the woods every weekend with my dad. The snow around me in NH has dropped a bit and yesterday we looked for a few hours in areas we had seen the bucks frequenting. Nothing yet, but it was still nice to get out in the woods.

My cousins dog found a few nice ones years ago, and we are going to try that area next weekend I think.

Switching gears from ice fishing to shed hunting. I’m gonna hit the woods and fields pretty hard. Heading to my bow hunting spot in the southern tier this weekend. Post on how your doing finding sheds on here guys. I know you guys up north might have few more weeks before the snow levels drop enough to get out and about. Good luck!

I've put some miles on in western Maine to no avail so far. Seeing lots of deer though. Starting to get discouraged seeing all the ones some have been getting. I'm a super patient person though and will be out while I can.

About 100% certain it's the other side of last years find. 8th mile separation. Glad it hadn't gotten chewed.
