This weekend my brother and I went muzzleloading up north. THe area we muzzleload used to be Antlerless only. This year DEC opened it up for Antlered or Antlerless deer. I shot a nice 8- pointer and my brother a nice spike horn. My brother went back to our motel to get our dad to help us drag out our deer. While I was waiting with our deer another hunter came by. He saw our deer and congratulated me but asked isn't this area doe only? I said no NYS opened up to deer of either sex. That is when the guy swore and told me how he passed up a buck this morning because he thought it was antlerless only. He left me kicking himself. It just goes to show ya that it really pays to look at all the regs carefully. ;)
