deer roast
« on: Mar 09, 2011, 10:28:12 AM »
I used to not care a lot for deer roasts until I tried this recipe. Now I save a lot of roasts for cooking this way!

Place deer roast in a crock pot. Pierce roast and insert slivers of garlic in holes. Coat roast with salt and pepper. Pour in 2 cans chicken broth, 1/2 can water. Add medium diced onion, potatoes, carrots and any other veggies you want, salt and pepper, and crushed red pepper. Drain one large (16 oz.) jar of mushrooms and put on roast. Cook on low for about 8 hours (or until done).
