Post by: Bogduck on Nov 04, 2017, 07:44:54 AM
Hello everybody so my son just got over a cold in during the cold he got into my duck calls i Let him use them anything to make him happy well while he wasn't feeling well now my calls are all infected with his boogie monster germs. Would any of you know if  calls are dishwasher safe so I can sterilize them.

Thats a good question.  What about using a hand sanitizer spray

Why take a chance ruining the reeds on good calls? Just wash in hot soapy water in the sink and dry them...

I have several Olt A-50's (for geese) that I had put into the dishwasher, just on the rinse cycle.
I kept the bell on the calls, so I do not mess up the reeds, I had good luck with that.
You want to make sure they are dry for field use.
I never tried the dishwasher trick with wood calls, although I do not own any wood calls.
