I'm not very good with diaphragm calls, but I do know trimming them down to fit makes a huge difference.

Can't wait.  Got a new spot I want to try and seems good (all the elements for Toms).  We're allowed 2 here in Vt.  If I bag one with my Browning, I'll try for the 2nd with my bow.  Have been wanting to bowhunt for turkey.  I hear it's a hell of a challenge

the best thing to do is practice and get use to haveing it in your mouth i use to just put it in and walk around or drive to work with it once you can have it in your mouth without worrying about chocking start making sounds with it and fine tune to the turkeys likeing may take some time but you will get it the best way to go is the mouth call IMO you can do anything with them once you get use to em good luck

It may be payback year for me.  Several opening mornings we went to the farm and got set up to intercept the birds when they started moving only to have the neighbor sitting right under the roost. As soon as the birds hit the ground the guy and kid would shoot, almost always missing. This year I might go in way before dawn and be on the other side of it. I'd love to see his face when he walks up and I'm already sitting there  8).
