how do you change profile picture

I can't seem to find out how to change my profile picture using a url, sometimes it says changes were made successfully but the profile picture option is still on no avatar, or sometimes it says it was changed successfully and the url is still right but my picture still shows up as a x.

Sounds like your file size is to big. Try shrinking the same pic to 90x90, then adding it. I've had the same problem before.
