Opening day shocker

tubeslinger:
Well I hunted with a fella on opening day. He managed to kill two doe's. Upon field dressing one of the doe's much to our suprise she was still carrying a fawn. For that to have happened she would  to have been bred in March. Anyone one else ever hear of this?

oneshott:
Where was this?  You should notify the fish and game of that state.

My grandfather told me an old hunting story of his that he was field dressing a big fat doe and she had a fawn in her, I think he said that was back in the late 70's or early 80's when that happened.

CAPTJJ:
Somebody posted pictures of a doe that looked pregnant on here this summer. Strange things can happen in nature. Bucks are able to breed does as long as they still have their antlers, they lose them when testosterone levels drop.
