Not my moose, I don't have a permit, I was just driving around and happened upon these people who shot a bull that I took a pic of the previous day.

Congrats Matt! I was getting a little worried that you hadn't posted... but not nearly as worried as you I'm sure. My nephew got a similar 2.5 year old, 575# on Wednesday. The 4runner made the drag to the road easy.

My brothers tag . I was alternate on it . We stayed up to woodchips camp . he drove us around and put us on the moose . Got it Thursday morning .  676 pounds 34 inches  .  We jammed it into the back of an h2t Hummer .

Congrats on a successful hunt. Lots of meat for the hardwater season. FYI, bull moose pull much easier from the hind legs.

Good tip . I'll try it if we ever get drawn for a permit again .

We we're lucky and another Hunter at camp came to help us with his toy . It's like a portable motorized capstan .  That thing just twitched it right out . Other then freeing it up off a few stumps and snags it draged slick .

We did one pull to a tree and another to the truck in the road . Just throw a strap around any tree and your set . You could zig zag around obstacles or any thing . I was quite impressed with how well it pulled . Just a few wraps around the capstan . Some light pressure on the tag end and it's pulling .
