Had another fun day with my buddy, Sprig. We had 4 flocks come give us a look and 2 of them left with a few missing friends!
I left the dog home because of the flat terrain and low cover and as it turned out, He was needed.
I downed a double and they both came heads up, I blasted one then the other, one down, the other still kicking. Before we could get it together, he took off on a ground level flight and went down over a hill into the woods. We searched but came up with nothing. It was super thick. We quit about 0745 with 5 in hand for the 2 of us.
I went home and came back later with Tule and gave the woods a good 45 minute search but we couldn't find it.
