Hunted Saturday morning,in the woods at 430 quiet and peaceful finally heard a gobble about an hr later. Then a couple of clucks came from my left looked and 2 hems are feeding and scratching around me. They hung around for at least an hr then I hear a gobble that might as well been on my shoulder scared the s**t out of me 2min later 2 Jake's and this tom come out from behind some scrub one of the Jake's had a beard that was dragging on the ground but this tom was a much bigger bird but smaller beard. Took him out at 10yds good thing I was getting hot with the temps rising. 22lbs 9inch beard and 1inch spurs took awhile but was worth the wait.

Thanks guys!! yes was getting near the end for me as well cleaned the gun and stored the decoys. next weekend starts the softball tournament season other than a couple of deep sea trips im not killing anything till october maybe september if its cool enough. Good luck out there.

Yes, softball tourneys begin next week for us as well! Just finished a job yesterday and cashed that check then turned right around and gave it to softball dues :D
I rented a house in Pittsburg last week of august on 1st CT and besides hitting some fish when I知 working on Waterbodies I値l be all business til then until Archery starts

Yup. I'm done as well. I'm all set with this 80 degree weather already, bring on September. Also, Since my boy broke his arm last week and can't hunt, I've lost my motivation to chase turkeys without him.
That and busy with TOO MUCH work....please, will people get off their ass and come get a job already. Quit cryin about covid. we're all drowning in work and can't keep up. ;)
