My cousin moved to Virginia a few years ago.  I hope he brought the M1 carbine I gave him for graduation, because I had four 15 round box magazines for it.  Now those are misdemeanor offenses.  A seventy year old firearm, no less.
I'm bound to stay where you sleep all day, Where they hung the jerk that invented work, in the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

You can't watch this video without it having an impact. Love to hear thoughts of those that take the time to view it.

Very interesting Hollywood!  Even while it was happening I asked myself some of those same questions.  Not everything added up.  The government has an agenda and it's sticking to it...

Funny how everything is being pushed through without public comment.  Really funny...

Take the tin foil hat off Dom. ;D

You have posted pics on here of you holding a gun, "they" can track you down by your IP address. ;) In fact you are already in "their database" of gun owners. ::)

From Senator Jim Seward in my Email....

I am back at my desk this morning after a long night in which 17 other courageous GOP senators joined me in voting NO on the governor’s bill to crack down on law abiding gun owners.

 New York’s already onerous gun regulations – a ban on semiautomatics and a lengthy pistol licensing process – now become even more strict with the legislation that will reduce magazine capacities and broaden the definition of “assault weapons” to include more guns, based only on cosmetic characteristics.

 I voted NO because the bill, while including some positive steps toward dealing with the mentally ill, just isn’t tough enough on the real criminals who get guns illegally and use them for murderous ends. We should not have rushed to pass a bill that diminishes our Second Amendment rights.

 As you know, I have always been skeptical of gun bans as a panacea for gun crimes committed by people with illegally-obtained guns. That’s why I have never voted for a gun control bill.

I fought to go after the real problem – the illegal guns which make up 90 percent of the gun crimes in NYC and 70 percent of the crimes across the rest of the state.

 Key provisions of the governor’s bill:

*Expanded definition of ‘assault weapon;’
*Recertification (not renewal) of pistol licenses;
*Background check on all ammunition purchases;
*No Internet purchases of ammo except through a gun dealer;
*Registration of currently owned guns defined as ‘assault weapons’ with the state police;
*Private sales of long guns will have to go through a dealer for a NICS check;
*Limits on the number of cartridges in a magazine to seven (can still possess a ten round magazine; but can load it only with seven rounds);
*Pistol license to buy pistol/revolver ammunition … and others.
  What we defeated:

*Confiscation of ten round magazines;
*Statewide database on all guns;
*Smaller limits on magazine capacity;
*Limits on the number of magazines one could possess;
*One gun per month purchase limits;
*Relicensing of all pistol licensees;
*Microstamping;
*Mandatory locking and storage of all guns in the home.
I understand the concern about the Connecticut killings. This bill won’t do much to prevent such a horrendous act from happening again, since it is light on treatment for the mentally ill.

 As always, I will continue to advocate for the rights of law abiding citizens to own and possess guns for lawful purposes, like hunting, collecting, target shooting or protection of hearth and home.

 Jim

All the "normal" people in this state and country need to wake up and stop believing that government is here to "help" us.  They are incapable of helping us, only helping themselves to our money.  They can't keep us safe, only we can keep ourselves safe.  We need to get off the kool aid and vote for leaders that believe in minimal government like our founders.
