I have found Duracell batteries hold up the best in trail cams...

No new pics....did see the 8 down main street again tonight...might have to set a stand on a phone pole....lol
I have tried Duracell, Energizers, The cheap bulk packs....they even lasted as long as the name brands...get three days tops out of a set of 4 c's....Thought about a couple sets of rechargeable..but not really worth the cost with the amount of pictures I'm getting.... ::)

Is your cam taking pics of just the woods, it shouldn't eat batteries if it's not taking pics, if it is you need a new trail cam. :o

No not really...first set did with the amount of squirrels there...but the next two sites it didn't, only had five pics the first time and four the second....the last set only had two, one of me turning it on and closing it and opening it to check it....batteries lasted 3 days...on all of them....might grab our battery tester at work and check them....I was wondering if the display might not be right..... 8)

Sounds like you may need to modify it to run off a small battery like the ones used in ice fishing flashers......have heard of others doing this though it voids the warranty....

Might monkey with it tonight....I have a couple of those 12 volts...not to worried about a warranty......got it at a good price....lol

I'm not sure on this Scott but think you may need a 6 volt battery.....my boss has done a modification like this before I can get some details next time I see him...

So the thing took 9 pictures....all daytime....have not gotten a night shot since I bought it...I know the flash works...tried it here in the house and it worked just fine....no complaining, all the deer pics are during shooting hours....that's not a bad thing....

 
Now to work more on positioning....guess I was a little to close....trigger speed isn't that fast..LOLOr the deer are just showing me....all I will see of them again this year.... ::) ::)

Nothing wrong with daytime pics. I seem to have better luck point them down or up the trail rather than across. If you move it back some across should work just fine as well.
