Sad news yesterday. My niece who has struggled with cancer for over half of her life, lost her battle.
She was a bright spirit, who often hunted with us in the fall. She was a deer magnet, as even the smallest drive would put deer in her face. She never did get to kill a buck, but so enjoyed being out there with us.
He son is 11 and learning to hunt with his grandpa, my brother, and his father. Taught his father to shoot a bow and started him bow hunting. A sport he loves to do, and can't wait until his son is old enough to go.
I grieve for the family that lost a daughter, wife and mom....but feel relieved her spirit has been relieved of the pain and struggle to just keep living. She will forever be in my heart and will live forever in my mind when I'm sitting in the woods or on the waters.(she loved to fish too)

Yesterday we started the two part process of making our world famous Zucchini Relish..

Raquette,I have never had or heard of Zucchini relish...I need to know more...I had so much this year I wasrunning out of stuff to do with it...I did make Lesters world famous Chilli Sauce from my tomatoes and canned it...It is a great thing to have on hand...I have been experiencing the whole canning thing and I like it!

                  This stuff is great...   You can put it on anything...   Real good mixed in tuna fish and egg salid...
When my wife gets time I will get her to type it out.....

Sorry for your families loss Scott. Raquette, that's a lot of zucchini, do you fry any flowers while they're growing. I tried growing some last year for fried flowers, but vine borers got them first. My great grandmother used to make them, man are they good.

Yeah the chilli sauce I canned is sweet it has clove and cinnamon and a bunch of other stuff smells great when making it...I really like this canning thing...take some more pictures of the finished product!
