Headed out for a few hours of smallie chasing with my buddy on the Upper Potomac river. As usual the smallie werent so good to me. I managed to catch two dinkers. My buddy caught a few more than me. Here was his biggest of the day. Check out the split in the smallies tail.

Steve was suggesting a MHF gathering on the island he camped at;  seems like a great idea  bet we'd all have a blast!!  Couple nights of campin and great fishin,  Not to mention the scenery up there!

Sounds like we need to start planning now for next summer.  We will be in for that, I'll just have to mark MOM's calender "Not available for wedding flowers" when we get a date for it.........

Sounds like a plan. Heather will be excited, she really wanted to try to get this going as much as I did. We'll have to get Drobs to come up, there's a lot of nice smallies up there too. There's docks for three boats if we can get all three sites. We'll have a blast up there together. We start taking it for granted because we do it so much, that's why we like to get people to come up and share it with them. We actually start loosing interest in the fishing and relax more when it's just the three of us. I don't know if we've ever kept fishing after we got a limit in the cooler. We just quit while they're still biting good and go swimming

I was happy to see you with a cowbell & a threaded dead bait. I have 4 down rigger's on my 18 footer and that's the way we fish for them In ontario. I guess you have it figured out by the looks of the pictures.

Not just dead, the first one was on the rod overnight from Saturday, we got at least two fish on that one. I don't even use a bait bucket any more. I got four dead floaters and two live ones from the bait shop for free and put them in a zip-loc bag in the cooler. They were free and I got a receipt  . We have an interesting way of rigging them that I'd like to show you too. Issiah is going to try it out on his lake.

gottcha reserve america nysdec. use that site often. never tried lake george it is about 4 hours from my house.
