Believe it or not I used to do that for the Navy...way back in the day...there is no longer a Navy Hot Air Balloon Team, but I was part of it when there was...I was like a Blue Angel but completely different...

One of the best trips of the year for me.  We caught a bunch of Nice Lakers, the scenery was awesome, & your guys hospitality was incredible. Thanx So much for bringing me out!   I'll post some pics here soon

We think it would an awesome time. But if we do we have to get some solid confirmations. We have to try to book the sites around the end of September for next summer. They don't go fast, they go instantly, literally.

Didn't come out nearly as good as I hoped it would.  Flavor stayed on the outside, and never penetrated the meat.

Picked up a Fenwick Eagle GT 5'6" ultralight yesterday, and paired it up with a Quantum PTi Energy 10 I had downstairs spooled with some light Fireline.  Just took it for its first test drive out back.  Went 1 for 2.  Both strikes came on a little Jitterbug.  Got a smallies that was a nice little chunk that took some drag, and bent the rod over.  By the shape his upper jaw was in, I'm not the first fisherman he has obliged.  Left the phone inside, and too dark for a pic anyway.

This combo will be hell on smallies and fat panfish, but I'm almost wishing I went for the 6', but still want to throw the lighter weights that the 5'6" was made for.

sounds like most had productive and memorable weekends! congrats to all the fine catches. 


im told i had a fun weekend! most is all just kind of a blur. a  few highlights r slowly comin back to me tho . fri,  speed golfing in a monsoon, gettin sharked by an elderly pool player, sat,  beautiful wedding on the shoreline of a pond, my buddy telling the priest to repeat after me, free busch lites by the barrel, after that it all went down hill.

No, but I didnt mind   Usually let the big ones go myself.    That minnow rig was very insightful Steve, Can't wait to experiment with that on waters I fish reguarly     I learned a lot from you guys  thanx for being patient with me  You're a good teacher man!
