Went out this morning and heard some gobbling off in the distance as usual. :( May have lucked into 90 acres tonight for turkey close by my house. Hope I dont jinx it but it should be a great spot. Its through a friend of a friend so you know how that goes. Keeping my fingers crossed cuz I am about ready to throw in the towel where I am at. I would be set if it was deer season. ::)

First morning of the youth turkey hunt was a bust...   Started out with freezing rain than turned into a down pour..... :P :P

It's supposed to let up a little, if it does they'll be on bare ground either in a plowed field or in the hardwoods. After the ugly weather today they should be chatty tomorrow. It would be nice if you could roost one tonight and set up on him early in the morning.

Weather sure hasn't been kind to the youth weekend. Seems it either rains or the winds are blowing a gale....
 
We have about an inch on the ground....raining now... :-\ :-\
 
Hope it clears for a bit for you to get out and call one in for him.... ;)

Had a nice visit with stka and camoedchick. We tagged along for a few lap's around BPS. I must say he's much more restrained than I am in that place. ;D ;D  Hit the Cracker barrel and we both headed for home. Good to see you guy's again, Amy said how glad she was that we did the extravaganza trip and met all of our new friends. Looking foward to the next time.

Met up with Harry and Amy today at Bass Pro today, it was great to see them.  Had a late lunch and got to chat for a while. It was a lot of fun.  Cant wait to meet again and hopefully do some fishing.  Good luck on Monday.  Raquette, good luck with your son, hope you at least see some turkeys.

It was a fun day!! Glad we got together, even if you are a sneaky pocketbook finder!! lol
