I'm probably just going through bass fishing withdrawls...    If I get back on the ice I have to bring a bass rod, stand back 30 yards and cast into a 6 inch hole.........    ;D ;D ;D ;D

I won't laugh. Had a gang of Asians ride their rented sled out to our shanty a couple years ago, and with four of them stuffed on a touring sled it looked comical. So they get off the sled and ask..How u do dees?? We explained a hole in the ice and fish through it. They asked about using our auger, but we had some holes out front where one of the guys had left early was. They went out to use them. They had regular spinning rods and reels and were quite funny looking standing 7' from the hole to get the line in. Until one hooks a 27" laker and reels it in... :o

I've seen people out on Irondequoit Bay with full sized spinning gear before.  Looks real strange.

NOT PRETTY however i cant seem to get the pictures on the page so I am stuck....tried photo bucket and came out crappy....so until..... :o :o thats the best i can do is  :o :o
