OK, so now I have a deep appreciation for what career fire fighters do. Got called for another mutual in a neighboring county, large house with the post office attached. Spent another 6.5 hours packed and running hose interior and exterior. Knocking down walls and such. Just got home. 5 companies and 40 guys. We were originally sent to just fill tankers, but had 4 interiors so they wanted us to set up a fast team. They had no one set up to do interior at all so we took over that. House is gone, had two layers of shingle and them metal roofing. We just couldn't get it vented properly and get in to fight it. Way to many additions and out buildings. But was there from 11:30 until 5, then back to our station to standby for two other companies up there. By the time we had our trucks put back together I was almost ready to just lay on the couch... :o But good thing was no cigs the whole day, went through 4 bottles and rehab and my blood pressure and pulse were great. No way you could do that five days a week. I'm ready for bed!!

Good for you, upstate.  No smokes means one less thing to spend money on, and once you get back to work, cheaper insurance too.

Not tired enough for bed, but not enough energy to do anything constructive.  At least the spring hardcover Cabelas catalog came to help pass the time.

Feeling lots better now.  Just spent over an hour standing in the driveway changing parking lamps and lowbeams.  Toes are frozen!

Gonna start a pot of coffee to warm up, and get the tipups out of the garage to be ready for you know when at you know where!

Wow, great morning on the ice. We planned to fish for lakers, and got to the ice by 630. Set tipups and hung out for a while. Got a couple bass and good pike about 30" or so. After a while, we weren't getting any flags so I decided to jig for perch a little bit. In 4 hours, I iced over 100 perch, and kept 40 good ones. No lakers, but nice morning to be out and got some bonus perch.  8)

I'm too superstitious to bring a camera. I picked it up this morning and set it down because whenever I bring a camera, I don't catch anything. I can snap a sink pic in a while though lol
