Processed the rest of the venison today. My back is killing me but I have around 40lbs of ground meat in the fridge. ;D To tired to make a batch of jerky tonight though.

One would think they would be hooked DRob. Truth is they swim along with the bait in their mouth sometimes preparing to kill it, turn it head first and swallow. I started having a better fish to flag ratio by hooking the minnow further ahead of the dorsal fin.
So far this year I have had 6 flags with four fish caught.
Caught a nice 4lb laker today. I forgot my camera so hoping one of the guys post pics on the shanty!!

Chucker- I had 2 of the little polar's with me and they looked the same way after 10 min.

It was good to get out, Hope to hit a local Trout pond the end of the week (stockie's).

Yes we did. Fishing with this group was great for my mental state. They don't let anything bother them, take life in stride.
I came home very relaxed and at peace with the man I am. Jut sat watching and listening to them all for a bit. Came to me, I must not be to bad a guy, seem to always have the best guys around me outdoors or at these sites.  ;D

That is why I'm so looking forward to this trip in Feb. Should be an absolute riot.
 
I can see it now, worms floating up under the ice.... ;D   Actually know a guy who fishes for lake trout, by sinking his minnows with a slip weight and just about dead. He makes sure the bladder is not ruptured so they will float a little, and kind of swim..... :P
