I'm game when ever the ice gets safe!!
Santa made his visit to the Adirondacks today. We had about a hundred kids loaded on fire trucks for the parade through town.(frosty would have loved it) The children then had hot chocolate and punch and cookies, watched some Christmas videos while waiting to see Santa and get their chance to tell him what they wanted. All received very nice pre Christmas presents!!
Plus their Apples and Oranges and candy. Was a good time. I just got done posting pictures on Facebook(Iknow....... )
Took a lot of photos for people who didn't have cameras, or forgot them. Was a good day with the children of the community.
Plus all the Departments in the township.

Sound's like a fun time with the kid's.
Busy 24 at the Fire barn. Lot's of medical's, Transported one to Boston (45 mile's). Getting a little snow, sticking to the grass, Not in the wood's yet though.

Our buses were busy yesterday. The ski center keeps two of them hopping all weekend. We were set on stand by for med flight with one yesterday. But they called it off. We had a landing zone cleared and set. A few of us have been trying to get the town to work a deal with the state at the ski area for lease of a bus and squad. Scary when the town has two buses and barely squad to man them and they are on calls for skiers all day.

Joy's of parenthood- Son #2 made it 1/2 mile from home on the way to work. Lost it on the corner, Road was a sheet of ice. He's fine, His 95 bronco, well that's not so good.   You know it's a bad sign when the pager is going off the same time as your cell phone.

Thank's guy's. Your all right on about the truck. Plenty of them available. There's only one of him.  I'm going for a walk in the snow with my muzzleloader to "clear my head a little".

I'm so glad he is OK!! I dread that same thing, up here in the sticks I bet I get paged before the phone call.
A walk in the woods would be good. We are all here if you need us.

Good to hear he's OK, Harrie.

I'm sitting at work, about to start 2 straight hours of meetings. I would MUCH prefer to be testing the new auger or taking a walk in the woods right now.
