I lost a giant there as well....... We had a problem with blow ice floating under the holes and hanging up our lines...... You guys ever have that problem ?

Yes it was bad I think 4 years ago...that wasn't the issue when I lost the Walleye though...I got excited and choked ;D

They fight great , hit like a freight train and are challenging as heck . Cost's less to do it on the ice  ;) And the big ones taste like poop , esp. the Ontario fish  :P :P :P :P I made the mistake of eating a 29 incher from OZ once .... I thought Browns tasted like  :-X .... They are a cool looking fish at that size tho . The bonus fish on Oneida are where it's at too .... Cleanest perch anywhere , and Burbot trumps them all IMO . White perch over 13 inches are common too  ;)
