I'm sure you wouldn't Jeff....You have a good understanding of being safe on the ice!! That one experience tied with going in three times in my life early...from 14 to 18...Twice then but trapping, and then when Tyler was 10 headed out with me...they have a lot to do with my trepidations....Even on a lake I know is safe....I get a lump in my throat for the first few minutes....until I put it aside and go on enjoying myself....I almost had myself worked up to head down.....Kept trying to find more posts on shanty to give ice thickness....Funny how one guy says 4-5 and another says 6-7...and they were on the same bay..LOL  Send me a PM where your meeting....maybe I'll get my courage mustered and get the stuff in the car... ;D ;D ;D

Wanted to fish a little while this afternoon but didn't feel like dealing with the snow covered roads or the idiot drivers. Rode the ATV down to LG with jig stick, one spoon, auger and my graph looking for a some lakers before dark. Cut one hole  and the perch were there and willing to bite my spoon lightly without any bait; caught 20 or so and missed a bunch, kept 14.
