If you're referring to Oneida Lake, there are a LOT of walleye and perch taken out during the ice season.  Imagine 150 fishermen every day taking their limits home.  That amounts to 3,150 walleye and 52,500 perch a week.  On weekends there's WAY more than 150 guys fishing the lake.  Then there's the bandits that take every fish they catch.  There are a LOT of these guys around, way more than you would expect. :-\

Started thinking to myself about a career change and becoming a Game Warden. So I look up the requirements and I have all of them. Just wish they were accepting applications now. :(

I would never do it, around here you can make just as much money stocking shelves on the night crew at Home depot with no education and your busy at the times of year you don't want to be. kiss the outdoors hobbies goodbye.............

Little pay and no fun I am set 8)  May be great for a weekend warrior of the blue jean variety but if you are hardcore like me, which I know you are I feel it would be a massive dissapointment, you can still bust poachers by dropping a dime ;D
