They were only 25 yds away, although you can't tell from the picture.  The buck on the right has the beginning of a very nice8 pt rack.  The other two are both 6-pointers.   I'd happily put my tag on any of them - Although hunting is verboten in that area.

You can find a way....... ;D ;D

Thanks. I had a chance to last year on a spike and a 6 pt but passed on both. I did shoot an 8 and a 7 with velvet hanging on the antlers but not in full velvet.

First buck is the 8pt. The second is the 7pt he only had a little velvet from the bases to the brows. He had just shed within a couple days. Cant find the trail cam pic of him right now.

How long has it been since you shot a buck Drobs? I know you started passing more in search of the big 'uns. I was just thinking I didn't remember seeing you with one until now. Velvet one would be real nice.

Killed the 7 in 2009 and he is my best bow kill to date. 2010 is when I killed the 8pt. I was very unhappy with myself when I walked up on him. It was the first time I had shooters remorse and will be the last.  Part of the reason is Tony was hunting that day and I didnt want him to kill the deer so I shot it(Dumb reason I know) I also got caught up in the moment as I watched him rub trees as he made his way towards me. The last four season I have killed 3 bucks. All have been with a bow and I have ate all my gun buck tags for those years. Last year I didnt kill a buck at all. Had chances at bucks but they just didnt make me happy.

I know you don't need the bucks to fill the freezer, you do that pretty well  ;). No reason to shoot anything you don't want to. I was just thinking I couldn't remember you posting a buck pic. This will be your year for something special.

That's right stka there are plenty of doe's around here and others don't seem to want to shoot them. If I'm not mistaken I think its unlimited doe tags for archery in my county this coming season. I hope its my year too. ;)

I don't want to come as some Quality Deer Management jerk to others. I always congratulate any successful hunter and always say shoot what makes you happy.
