Well it was a long day yesterday..    Getting up at 1:45 am, driving to Deans and getting into Old Forge at 4:30...   Fishing was really slow for the first hour....   Nothing........  Than Dean landed a solid two pounder and we were off....  Wound up boating 9 keepers but only needed 5 to weigh in...   I got our biggest at  4.65 lbs....    Out of 21 teams we came in 4th... :P    Our total weight was 13.98 lbs and 3rd place was 14.01, 2nd was 14.36 and 1st was 14.86...   Very close race...   1st place guys had lunker with a 5.12..  So that put mine out of the running... :P :P
The best part of the day was making Herb and my Brother think we didn't catch anything all day...   They only got 4 fish all day...   At the weigh in we  were at there boat and saw what was in there live well and Herb had a descent bass around 3 1/2 lbs...   I had them thinking  that was big fish of the day and with only 4 fish they might be in 3 rd place...
Well my brother is kneeling on the back deck of the boat holding the bag and Herb is getting the three little ones out of the live well and putting them in it...    As he is getting the bigger one out I say don't loose that one.. ::)   Well no sooner I say that, that fish squirms out of Herbs hands, hits the deck and procedes to flop past my brother and in a split second is in the water and gone.... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o    I'm sorry and know its cruel but I laughed pretty hard....
Latter on they were happy to find out that it didn't matter  cus they had no chance.....  Herb said he is done with tournaments....... ;D ;D

So Dean and I procede to get our fish out of the boat..   We had 6 fish in there and only needed five...  We always try to keep an extra in case one dies, other wise there is a 1 lb penalty.....
So with all fish alive and 4 in the bag and our biggest and smallest still in the live well I take out the smallest and procede to act like it is squirming and I cant hold it and over it goes... ;D ;D   Herb and Jim are laughing and high fiving each other....    ;D   As I reach in and pull out the big one...     ;D ;D ;D    Needless to say they called me loser several times...... ;D

Good day on the water...  Saw lots of deer with fawns and a few swimming...
I have to check and see what I have for pictures my camera was acting up..........

Great story Dom, that's good stuff. I thought the Pic's were pretty nice........A few more would have been better though.

You got some good pics there, the sunrise pic is great. Sounds like you did pretty well one more bid one and you would have been right in it. That is a long day for sure.
