I went to a neighboring town last evening. They had a MVA scene set up with a dump truck into a small station wagon. Got tp let our young guys, including the young 25 year old assistant Chief show what they could do with an extrication. They made me proud as their training officer to watch them hit the ground, all business, everyone knowing their job. The Chief of the other department involved was impressed. The young Chief did a quick assessment and then came to me, and asked why they were taking the two least injured out first when a young boy was in the back seat of the station wagon with an amputated arm?
I said, hey your our command. If something isn't right, go to their command and let him know. Was a great learning experience for all involved. Think they will have a Hurst tool in the near future. We did a lot of training on the tools and the jobs they do with them after the scene was cleared of victims. One of their members is a NYS fire instructor, and he was really taken aback by our young members. LOL Even the 16 year old juniors knew what was going on, how it happens, and what we need to do. Makes me a little more confident we have a good future as a small volunteer department. 
 
Yes the pollen is unreal!!! Head feels like it has a air compressor filling it.....

With all the rain we got two days ago you would think the pine pollen would have been knocked down, but yesterday the  hills were green with the stuff blowing around....hunts2long

Thanks but its gone trust me. Last two times out I have caught one fish each trip. Both were no bigger than 7 inches.   I have seen bigger fish in home aquariums. Followed by other things that just haven't gone right lately. Like locking myself out of my house at 5:30 in the morning. Ended up have to break a window. Spilling a whole cup of coffee on myself mainly on my new shoes. I just hope this crap works itself out before deer season.

Funny you should say that. There is a beach at this lake but I cant get to close in the boat since its roped off. Which reminds me yesterday I was fishing down the bank and there was a group of ladies having a picnic. They asked me if I caught anything and I said just one. One aked was it a big one or a little one. I laughed and said I'm not going to lie it was tiny. They all chuckled.
